COMPANY DETAILS
CFOAM® is a next generation carbon material produced from powdered metallurgical coal using a highly proprietary manufacturing process. The resulting material is virtually pure carbon, but in hard, open cell material form.
CFOAM® is a remarkable product that has insulating properties with an ability to withstand very high temperatures high impact while remaining lightweight.

The product has been validated and used by leading Aerospace companies with CFOAM® currently installed on a number of rockets and satellites. This is the tip of the iceberg, with applications for many large and growing markets.
CFOAM® is targeting tier 1 aerospace customers in a growing market segment.
Defense applications are plentiful with extensive research of CFOAM® conducted through the US Government’s SBIR program. Current discussions with US governmental agencies and private contractors surround potential applications such as armored vehicles and gun barrel heat dispersion.
